1 kg beef heart
salt and pepper
1 onion in rings
1 carrot sliced
1 pinch of dried thyme
500 ml water and/or beef stock
Take the meat out of the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge.
Dip the heart in flour and season with salt and pepper.
Heat the butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the heart cubes and fry until brown all over.
Fry the onion and carrots.
Add the water and/or beef stock and bring to the boil.
Turn the heat down low, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
